Rottweiler Tools sub brand Carries the more economical,entrylevel tools of ROLLINGDOG.This includes putty and joint knivesup to 6”(152cm)wide.Durably made with carbon steel bladesand plastic handles allow these to be a better low price option.

The next level of knives would be under the ROLLINGDOG brand and includeTextured rubber gripped handles and #50 Carbon steel or 420 stainless steel blades.

Professional Level

ROLLINGDOG Elite Performance sub brandcarries knives for professionals with laser en-graved Beech wood handles and full tang 420stainless steel blades.

Contractor / Premium Level

Putty knives and taping knives are used together for wallrepairs,but are designed for different functions.

Smaller sized knives are used for small hole and gouge repairs that that don’t need muchmaterial applied.The main purpose is to smooth and evenly spread compound or wood fillerover area.These knives work well to also press down on painters tape for sharper,cleanedges.Another function is light scraping and surface cleaning.

Any heavy duty adhesive,epoxy or otherbonded material should be removed fromsurfaces with a thick scraper such as#50023 chisel scraper,rather than with aflexible putty knife

Knives larger than 4″(100mm)arecommonly referred to as joint knives,asthey are used more for smoothing largerareas such as a joint betweentwo pieces of drywall.This includes sizesup to 8″((203mm).

Taping knives are very similar in function to larger sizedjoint knives,used for smoothing and
feathering out mud on walls,but also come in muchlarger sizes.

Most of ROLLINGDOG’s taping knives are rectangular in shape,ranging from 140 to 600mm,withblades ranging from blued steel to 420stainless steel.

Putty or joint knives can be used together with tapingknives as the rounded edges work better for scoopingcompound out of buckets.Thecompound is then loaded onto the taping knife for wallapplication
